FIRE RESTRICTIONS MOVE TO STAGE 1 IN ARAPAHOE COUNTY.
π«π₯ STAGE 1 BURN BAN β ARAPAHOE COUNTY π₯π«
β No open burning of any kind without a permit from your fire district.
Why it matters:
Dry conditions, high winds, and warm temperatures can turn even a small spark into a dangerous wildfire. This ban helps protect lives, homes, and our first responders.

No two days are ever the same for our patrol deputies.
On June 3, Patrol Team 1 responded to a woman experiencing a medical emergency at a hotel, investigated an injury crash in the Streets at Southglenn parking lot, and conducted routine traffic enforcement β all within just a few hours.
Every call is different, but each one requires readiness, compassion, and decision-making. We take pride in our job, and we're committed to being there whenever you need us.

Our summer Youth Academy was a huge success! 16 teenagers spent the week getting a behind-the-scenes look at the Sheriff's Office. They toured the 911 Dispatch Center, the Crime Lab, and the Arapahoe County Jail. They learned about fi****ms, traffic stops, and even participated in active threat scenarios. They also got to watch a K9 demo and got a close-up look at the SWAT Team, Bomb Squad, Drone Unit, and Mounted Unit.
The week began with Sheriff Tyler Brown welcoming the teens and thanking them for spending part of their summer learning about the Sheriff's Office. The busy week wrapped up with a certificate of completion and a graduation ceremony.

π¨ CAPTURED π¨
A suspect who had been evading law enforcement with active felony warrants for Dangerous Drugs and Distribution was captured by Arapahoe sheriff deputies on June 3 in Centennial.
Eric Tengan, 43, was taken into custody after a brief pursuit involving an electric bike. Deputies with the Special Investigations Unit initially located him at a hotel in the 13000 block of E. Briarwood Ave. When deputies attempted to contact him, he fled on the e-bike. After deputies ordered him to stop, Tengan abandoned the bike and ran on foot. Deputies pursued him, and he quickly surrendered near E. Peakview Ave. and S. Uvalda St.
Outstanding work by the Special Response Team and Patrol Team 2 in safely apprehending this wanted fugitive and taking him off the streets. ππ
