Centralina WDB was proud to volunteer and participate in the 2026 Job Fair of the Carolinas at Carowinds. A couple of our team members from NCWorks Rowan and NCWorks Union spent time supporting jobseekers, connecting with employers, and helping make this regional event a true success.
We’re grateful for the chance to work alongside incredible partners like NCWorks, SCWorks, and Carowinds—all committed to strengthening the workforce across the Carolinas. Events like this remind us how powerful collaboration can be when we come together for our communities.

As part of National Apprenticeship Week, we’re highlighting how registered apprenticeships can help employers across the Centralina region address ongoing hiring challenges and build sustainable workforce pipelines.
Our Workforce Development Board recently partnered with ApprenticeshipNC to host a hybrid workshop that brought together employers and public‑sector leaders to explore how apprenticeship programs can be customized for nearly any occupation, far beyond traditional trades.
