We’re grateful to McGuireWoods and Wells Fargo for partnering with us on another successful Wills for Warriors Clinic!
Thanks to the dedication of volunteer attorneys, qualified veterans received assistance in preparing essential documents—including simple wills, powers of attorney, and living wills.
Providing peace of mind to those who have served our country is truly meaningful work, and we couldn’t do it without such incredible community partners. 💙

May is Mental Health Awareness Month — and at Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy, we choose action over awareness.
This month, our Employee Engagement Committee designed and led creative team-building activities to reduce burnout, strengthen relationships, and remind our team that who we are matters as much as what we deliver. Mental health is not a soft issue. It is a strategic one. Teams that feel seen, supported, and connected perform better, stay longer, and show up stronger.
To our Employee Engagement Committee — thank you for modeling the kind of leadership culture worth celebrating. 👏
To fellow leaders — go beyond this awareness post. Check in on your people. Invest in your culture. A healthy team is not a perk. It is your greatest asset.

🎉 Celebrating One Year of CEO Leadership! 🎉
One year ago today, Larissa stepped into leadership during a season filled with opportunity, responsibility, and growth. Since then, we have witnessed vision become action, challenges become progress, and ideas become impact.
Through thoughtful leadership, wise stewardship, and a commitment to our mission and community, this first year has helped strengthen not only our organization, but also the people and lives we serve.
Today is our opportunity to reflect, celebrate, and most importantly… simply say — "thank you."

Grateful to have spent time this week learning, presenting, and connecting with so many justice‑minded colleagues and supporters at the Equal Justice Conference here in Charlotte!
These gatherings are a powerful reminder of why we do this work—sharing ideas, lifting up solutions, and renewing our collective commitment to expanding access to justice for all.
Energized by the conversations, inspired by the dedication across this community and across the country, and excited to bring what we’ve learned back into our work.
