ADAMH is making a difference in our community. ADAMH-funded services are provided by non-profit organizations located throughout Franklin County.

Our mission is to improve the well-being of our community by reducing the incidence of mental health problems and eliminating the abuse of alcohol and other drugs in Franklin County. Thanks to the generosity of Franklin County tax payers, ADAMH is able to contribute more than $67 million for treatment and prevention services.

What can national data tell us about substance use among young people, and how can those insights help shape prevention and treatment efforts here in Franklin County?

The newly released 2025 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) offers a closer look at substance use and mental health indicators among adolescents and young adults, along with broader behavioral health trends across the country. These findings help inform the work of ADAMH and its provider network as we work to strengthen prevention efforts and ensure services reflect the needs of our community.

ADAMH recently hosted its first joint convening of nearly 30 school district leaders and school-based prevention providers in Franklin County.

The convening built on the agency’s school district listening tour. Participants discussed the barriers they face, what is already working and what districts, providers, ADAMH and community partners can do together to better serve the children and families in the community.

With support from an ADAMH community mini grant, Cornerstone of Hope-Columbus, Ohio is hosting monthly educational workshops for individuals and families navigating grief.

Oct. 24 is National Drug Take Back Day, which encourages the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure for preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., collection sites will be available throughout our communities to make participation convenient.

ADAMH staff recently attended IMPACT Community Action’s annual Ripple of Hope event, recognizing the important role economic stability plays in overall well-being.

Through its work to strengthen Franklin County’s behavioral health system, ADAMH recognizes that access to care and opportunities to build a stable, fulfilling life are both important to individual and family well-being.

Depression can affect anyone, regardless of age, background or circumstances. Recognizing the signs and knowing where to turn for help can make a difference.

ADAMH was honored to be recognized at the SIGMA 614 Foundation’s Sapphire Awards, receiving the 2026 Agency of the Year Award. This recognition reflects the collective efforts of the dedicated providers, partners and advocates who work every day to strengthen behavioral health and transform lives across Franklin County.

ADAMH’s Vice President of Advocacy & Engagement D Malone was also honored with the 2026 Presidential Award, recognizing her leadership, service and extraordinary impact on the community.

As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, ADAMH is highlighting data on Franklin County’s Hispanic and Latino population and factors that can affect access to behavioral health care, including language, cultural considerations and awareness of available resources.

ADAMH is proud to support community behavioral health providers offering services tailored to the needs of Hispanic and Latino individuals and families. Culturally responsive care can help make services more accessible and create opportunities for people to receive support that reflects their experiences and needs.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about domestic violence, recognize the warning signs and share resources that can help keep people safe.

As part of the Domestic Violence 101 Education Campaign led by the Franklin County Prosecutor Shayla D. Favor’s Office, ADAMH is highlighting the role fi****ms can play in domestic violence situations and the increased risk they can pose.

ADAMH leadership and staff were proud to support the Ohio Su***de Prevention Foundation’s third annual Ruck Walk, benefiting su***de prevention efforts for Ohio’s veterans and first responders.

ADAMH CEO Erika Clark Jones and Board Chair Danny Eakins were honored to speak at this year’s event, highlighting the importance of recognizing and addressing su***de prevention needs within our veteran communities.
