ASSESSMENT NOTICES - APPEAL DEADLINE APPROACHING

Did you receive an assessment notice from the Horry County Assessor’s Office? If so, the deadline to appeal the assessment is September 28, 2026.

Notices were sent to property owners who had recently purchased or made significant additions or improvements (assessed value of over $1000) to their property.

The remaining taxpayers should see no change in their valuation as this is not a reassessment year.

It is important that property owners review their assessment notices promptly and thoroughly, as the assessed value directly affects the amount of taxes owed.

Appeals are processed in the order they are received.
