THE DAWN OF ANOTHER LEAF COLLECTING SEASON IS APON US! 🍁

The Town of Cornelius Leaf Collection Season will begin on Monday, November 2, and will end on Friday, January 29.🍂

To get as many laps through the Town with our Leaf Trucks as possible, we are asking residents to help us out by following these guidelines:
- Place leaves in the planting strip between the curb and sidewalk or along the ditch line (not in the ditch) in rows parallel with the street
- Leaves mixed with tree limbs or other yard waste cannot be collected
- Leaves in bins or bags will not be collected
- Leaves must be clear of water meters, fences, and storm drains
- Leaves must not be blocking the sidewalk
- Keep the area around the leaves clear of vehicles and other items that would block access for the Leaf Trucks. If the Leaf Trucks cannot access the leaves, they will not be collected.

There will be no leaf collection on Veteran’s Day (Nov 11), Thanksgiving (Nov 26 & 27), Christmas (Dec 23, 24, 25), and New Year’s Day (Jan 1).

Check our website for live Leaf Truck locations!🚚

⚠️ANTIQUITY BRIDGE WORK⚠️

The Antiquity Bridge will be closed for repairs from 9 PM to 6 AM on weeknights from October 26 to November 6. We suggest using Main St/115 as a detour to and from Davidson.

We will be replacing the top layer of the bridge deck and tightening the bolts on the substructure underneath. The substructure work will be done from the greenway and will not impact traffic.

The Bridge will reopen during the day.
