❗️UPDATE: Agriculture Exemption (AE) Number Renewal❗️

Following today's meeting with the Kentucky Department of Revenue, we wanted to share that AE numbers can also be renewed using a paper copy application instead of the online portal. If you choose the paper option, you don't need to do anything online; simply fill out the form and mail it in.

Copies of the paper renewal application are available at the Harrison County Extension Office. Stop by to pick up a copy, or print one yourself using the link below. If you have already completed your application through the online portal there is no need to do a paper application.

Remember, current AE numbers expire on December 31, 2026, and will need to be renewed.

Each year at the Annual Harrison County Farm Field Day our Ag Council selects a recipient for the Top Farm Hand Award. This individual is someone who has been involved with the Cooperative Extension Service, made an impact on farmers and served their community. This years recipient is Dr. Mike Brooks who served many years as a local Veterinarian and is always willing to help farmers when they needed it most in Harrison and surrounding counties! Dr. Brooks is the very definition of a "Top Farm Hand!" A very well deserved award and if you see him out please be sure to tell him congratulations!

Thank you to Brian and Amy Furnish for hosting the 2026 Annual Harrison County Farm Field Day! The weather finally cooled off and made for a perfect evening learning about their sheep and cattle operations. Thank you to all of our sponsors (Central KY Ag Credit, Stock Yards Bank & Trust and Farm Credit Mid-America as well as Cynthiana Southern States for some door prizes) and everyone in attendance this evening for making it such a great event!
