Community Hand Tool Program
Supporting cleaner, greener neighborhoods across Dallas—one project at a time. 🌿

The Code Compliance Community Hand Tool Program provides volunteer groups with access to equipment needed for mowing, trimming, clearing vegetation, and litter clean-up efforts. By partnering with neighborhood associations, nonprofits, and community groups, this program helps bring residents together to improve and beautify shared spaces throughout the city. 💚

The Code Compliance office will be closed in observance of Memorial Day. Normal business operations will resume Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

We take this time to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

As the FIFA World Cup™ comes to North Texas, let’s make our community shine. ✨

From March through May, residents, schools, businesses, and community groups are invited to organize or join cleanup events and log every piece of trash collected.
Communities will compete to collect the most litter per resident and earn the Cleanup Challenge award — a symbol of pride, stewardship, and teamwork.
