ANOTHER SCARECROW SIGHTING! LOOK WHO WE SPOTTED!

We spotted an awesome display of scarecrow buddies in Stewart County! This happy pair was created by CASA of the Highland Rim! We love seeing our local organizations join in the fun and bring a little fall spirit to our community!

Congratulations to CASA of the Highland Rim, our 2026 Stewart County Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit of the Year! Thank you for participating in our Annual Scarecrow Contest and for the incredible work you do for children in our community. Keep up the great work!

DID YOU KNOW? CASA NEEDS VOLUNTEERS!

CASA of the Highland Rim provides trained community volunteers who advocate for the best interests of children who come to the attention of Juvenile Court, primarily because of abuse or neglect.

Looking for a meaningful way to give back? Consider volunteering with CASA! Your time and dedication can make a difference in a child's life. Reach out to learn how you can get involved!

Wayne and Hope Anglin have a long history of love and service to Stewart County. Married in 1971, they chose to build their lives, careers, businesses, and family in the community they proudly call home.

Raised in Indian Mound, Hope began her teaching career in 1974 and dedicated 40 years to education. She spent most of her career teaching seventh- and eighth-grade English at Dover Elementary School and Stewart County Middle School, influencing generations of local students. After retiring in 2014, she continued serving the school system as a consultant for another five years.

Wayne began working at Anglin Funeral Home in 1968 and has devoted more than 55 years to serving Stewart County families. Through life's most difficult moments, he has provided compassionate care and support, building lasting relationships throughout the community. Though mostly retired, his legacy of service continues.

Faith and community involvement have always been important to the Anglins. They are dedicated members of Dover First Church of the Nazarene, where Hope has served on the church board for decades and participated in numerous church and community projects.

Wayne and Hope also own and operate Rose Ella Village and Centsable Storage, continuing their investment in the local business community.

Together, they have spent more than five decades making a difference through education, funeral service, faith, business, and caring for others. Their commitment to Stewart County is reflected in their three children and five grandchildren, all of whom continue to call Dover home. Like Wayne and Hope, the next generations have chosen to remain in the community they love, demonstrating the deep roots and lasting legacy this family has established in Stewart County.
