May 10 through May 16, 2026, is Police Week. Friday, May 15, 2026, is Peace Officers Memorial Day.

On Peace Officers Memorial Day and during Police Week, we honor our brave officers who serve on the front lines to protect our families, safeguard our communities, and shoulder a burden of responsibility that most Americans cannot fathom. This week and always, we honor the courageous men and women serving in law enforcement and memorialize those who sacrificed their lives defending the thin blue line.

The Detective Brian Moore Scholarship Applications are due June 1st. Two (2) $1,000 scholarships are awarded, thanks to NYPD Sgt. Ray Moore (ret.) and our NYS FOP Lodge 69 member, to Never Forget his son Brian. Always keep Brian Moore and the Moore family in your prayers 🙏

Remembering Detective Brian Moore on this date 11 years ago.

Eleven years ago today, our 105 Pct. brother, P.O. Brian Moore, was doing the work New Yorkers had asked him to do: confronting dangerous individuals, ridding our streets of illegal guns. While carrying out that important mission, he confronted evil and was shot and killed. Officer Moore laid down his life for his fellow New Yorkers. May his sacrifice be remembered always.
