EMCon returns to the East Meadow library with cosplay and creativity - Herald Community Newspapers The East Meadow Public Library was anything but quiet over the weekend as EMCon AnimeFest turned the space into a lively celebration of anime, cosplay and pop culture, drawing families, fans and creators from across Long Island.

Support local artists and creators! 🎨📚

Our EMCon guest, Carl Paolino, has launched a Kickstarter for his dream graphic novel project, Penny Poisonberry and the Gothic Kingdom! The book is already 3/4 complete with 75 full-color pages finished, and now he’s looking for a little extra support to bring it across the finish line.

Every contribution helps support the artists involved, printing, and shipping costs. If you’re a fan of young adult graphic novels, gothic fantasy, or indie creators, please check it out and help spread the word!
