Our Second Annual Book Character Parade Was a Huge Success!

Last week, our Cubs brought their favorite stories to life in the most wonderful way! Even though the rain moved us indoors, it was a fantastic morning as students paraded around the gym in their creative book character attire, proudly carrying their favorite stories with them. Thank you so much to all the families who stayed after drop-off to cheer them on—your energy and support made the morning incredibly special for the students.

A massive shoutout goes to our wonderful kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Kennedy Williams! She quickly adapted the plans for the weather, organized the indoor route, led the procession, and truly made the event the great success that it was. We are so grateful for her hard work and dedication.

Thank you to our amazing staff, students, and families for helping us celebrate the joy of reading together!

Thank you to Ms. Robinson for planning a great Red Ribbon Week. The Cubs had fun being healthy and dressing up.

Even the Bear Creek cafeteria made the the Cub Challenge Day a great day for the students during lunch.

Friday was Literary Lunch and the students had breakfast for lunch.
The book that went along with the meal was Lady Pancake and Sir French Toast.

Ms. Kat randomly selected one lucky plate-lunch diner from each grade level to take home their very own copy of Lady Pancake and Sir French Toast.

Thank you to the cafeteria for making the Cub Challenge day fun at lunch time.

🐻💙 Bear Creek Community in Action!💙🐻

Friday morning, before our Cub Challenge Fun Run, the CHHS Baseball Team came to Bear Creek to welcome our Cubs with high-fives and big smiles! ⚾ They even volunteered to open car doors as our amazing Pre-K team helped students get ready for the day in their brand-new Cub Challenge shirts!

The excitement and support surrounding Cub Challenge each year remind us how special our Bear Creek community truly is. We are so thankful for the CHHS Baseball Team, our dedicated staff, our supportive families, and everyone who continues to show up for our Cubs!

It takes a village, and we are so lucky to have such an amazing one! Thank you for helping make our Cub Challenge a success! 💙🐻

🏃 Cub Challenge Fun Run Schedule

Bear Creek Elementary School | Cub Challenge Fun Run 🐻💙

Dear Bear Creek Families,

We are excited to invite all of our Bear Creek families to join us on Friday, October 23, for our Cub Challenge Fun Run!

This is our biggest fundraiser of the school year, and we would love for you to come cheer on your Cubs as they run laps and work toward their goals! Your presence makes this event even more special for our students, and seeing their families cheering them on is a wonderful way to celebrate their hard work and school spirit.

We know mornings are busy, so please know that even a short visit of 30–45 minutes makes a big difference! Families are welcome to watch their students run and then help us celebrate in our cooldown room, where students will enjoy water and popsicles after their run.

A Few Reminders for Visiting

Cheering from outside: If you are coming only to watch and cheer for students from outside, you do not need to check in for a visitor badge.

Visiting the cooldown room: If you plan to come inside to help distribute water and popsicles or visit with students during lunch, please check in at the front office and obtain a visitor badge.

Thank you for your continued support of Bear Creek Elementary and our amazing PTA. The funds raised through Cub Challenge help support the programs, activities, and experiences that make our school such a special place for our Cubs. We are so grateful for our Bear Creek community and all you do to help our students thrive!

We hope to see you Friday morning cheering loud and proud for our Cubs! Thank you for helping make our one big fundraiser of the school year a success!
