It may be raining and dreary outside, but Kendall, one of our advocates, brought the sunshine with baskets full of self-care goodies for our staff!
As we continue to see record-breaking numbers of children, acts of kindness like this mean so much. Thank you, Kendall, for always thinking of others and brightening our day at NKYCAC. It’s all sunshine in here!

With pool season upon us we wanted to share this useful chart that demonstrates how well different bathing suit colors appear below water. The more visible your child is to you and lifeguards the more likely they are to be noticed in case of an emergency situation. Swim safe!

What’s got us smiling this week? ☀️💛
A huge THANK YOU, First Church of Christ , for spreading a little Son-shine to our staff! They know the work happening here each day can be heavy, and they wanted to make sure our team felt appreciated, supported, and cared for. From thoughtful treats to moments of self-care, their kindness reminded us just how compassionate this community is.
We are so grateful for partners like First Church who continue to pour encouragement into the people who pour so much into others. 💕

NKYCAC is thrilled to welcome Sam Myers as the MDT Coordinator. A graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a Master of Social Work degree, Sam shared, “I am excited to grow in this role and look forward to making a positive difference.” Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her orange cat, Toast, grabbing coffee, reading books, building Legos, and being outdoors.
Welcome to the team, Sam!

Happy Mental Health Awareness Month!
This month we are extra thankful for our partnership with Family Nurturing Center, who work tirelessly alongside us to provide Trauma-Focused Counseling to the children and families we serve.
Take good care of yourselves this month!💚
