We’re so happy that many evacuated families get to return home today and reunite with their pets. ❤️🐾 Thank you for trusting us to care for your pets during such a stressful time.
A special thank you to the instructors and students of OC Veterinary Assistant School for coming in this morning to help walk, feed and care for our evacuee pets.

When evacuation orders were issued this weekend, our first priority was ensuring the safety of our own hospitalized patients and team members. Once everyone in our care was safe, we began reaching out to local family veterinarians to offer emergency housing assistance for their hospitalized patients if needed. From there, we opened temporary emergency boarding to the community at no cost so evacuated families could focus on getting to safety without leaving their pets behind. ❤️🐾
In total, our team is caring for 25 displaced animals during the evacuation effort.
This clip shares more about what happened and why caring for both pets and the people who love them will always matter to us at Orange County Emergency Pet Clinics.
We are incredibly grateful to the first responders, city officials, volunteers, and neighbors who worked tirelessly throughout this emergency. We’re proud to be part of a community that comes together to protect both people and pets when it matters most.

“What do we do with our pets?”
Because many evacuation shelters cannot accept animals, our Garden Grove emergency pet hospital opened temporary emergency boarding at no cost so evacuated families could focus on getting to safety knowing their pets were cared for.

When emergency evacuations happen, families often have only minutes to make decisions. Because many evacuation centers cannot accept animals, our Garden Grove emergency pet hospital opened temporary boarding at no cost for evacuated pets so families could focus on getting to safety.
This isn’t about business. It’s about community.
We’re grateful to the first responders, city officials, and everyone working through an incredibly stressful situation tonight. Please continue to stay safe and follow evacuation guidance.

It’s been a long day. 😅 These are just a few of the 25 pets we have taken in at no charge so their families could evacuate the chemical hazard area safely. All of the pets are safe, comfortable and cared for. I’m so proud of our team for stepping up to care for the community’s pets in addition to seeing incoming animals having emergencies on this stressful holiday weekend. Stay safe out there! We’re ready to help in here. ❤️🐾
