🌴 Escape to island vibes at Adult Swim: Beach Party! This pool party for ages 18 and up takes place on Saturday, June 20, from 8-9:30 pm at Sunset Pool. Wear your brightest beachwear and enjoy upbeat music, casual water games, and refreshing mocktails. It's like a mini vacation right at the pool! The fee is $15 for residents and $18 for nonresidents. 📚🌲 Take a walk through a story! From Saturday, June 6, through Sunday, June 14, explore our free Pop-Up StoryWalk® in Ackerman Park, featuring the award-winning book "Wonder Walkers" by Micha Archer. Stroll through the Ackerman Woods area of the park and discover the tale one page at a time along the self-guided trail. This outdoor adventure blends literacy, movement, and nature, making it perfect for little readers and curious minds of all ages! Park in the Lenox Road lot for the most direct access to the trail. Experience Lake Ellyn by kayak, canoe, or pedal boat! New this year, Boating in the Park is expanding from select Sundays to every Sunday, from June 7 through August 9, from 11 am-2 pm. No registration is required, and all ages are welcome. The rental fee is $10 per boat for a 20-minute session.

Please note that participants must properly fit into and wear a life jacket provided by the Glen Ellyn Park District. In case of inclement weather, Boating in the Park may be canceled. Updates will be posted on the District's hotline at https://bit.ly/3LnkiAh.

Gator Mania is coming to Sunset Pool! Join us on Friday, June 12, for an evening of splashy fun! The Gator Race kicks things off at 6 pm, followed by Gator Mania, a free all-ages pool party featuring music, swimming, and games, from 6-8 pm.

Adopt one or more gators to support the Glen Ellyn Parks Foundation for a chance to win prizes like a 2027 Sunset Pool Family Membership, Holes & Knolls Mini Golf passes, and more! Adoptions start at just $10.

🏈 Building skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship at Ackerman Flag Football!

At its May 19, 2026, meeting, the Park Board of Commissioners approved Prairie Path Park as the official name of the new Downtown Community Park.

In doing so, the Board recognized the strong connection residents already have to Prairie Path Park and the surrounding area. Retaining the name preserves the park’s established identity, honors its history, and reflects its location along the Illinois Prairie Path. As the site continues to evolve, the name will serve as a bridge between the park’s legacy and its future role in the community.

As improvements take shape, Prairie Path Park will continue to bring people together, enhance the downtown experience, and serve as a vibrant gathering place for years to come.

Enjoy reduced noise levels with no music, water features, or whistles (except for emergencies), and limited interruptions at our Sensory Swim Nights! Perfect for those who find regular pool hours overwhelming, these evenings at Sunset Pool offer a gentler experience for individuals of all ages with sensory sensitivities. No registration is required; just pay the admission fee of $3 for residents or $4 for nonresidents.

🎶🎤 Summer Break at the Lake returns to Lake Ellyn Park on Friday, June 26! Bring the whole family for an evening of live music and food trucks, plus drinks for guests 21+ from local favorites The Beer Cellar and Common Good Cocktail House.
