This year's fiscally-responsible budget invested in Local Food Infrastructure Grants to help working families access affordable fresh food, combat chronic illnesses like heart disease, and support growing local businesses. A new round of grant opportunities for these businesses opens on November 2nd.

Grants can assist small food suppliers in purchasing essential equipment, such as refrigerated trucks, livestock processing tools, and upgrades for community kitchens.

Congratulations to the Synapse House in Downers Grove for receiving a grant from the Illinois State Treasurer Charitable Trust! Synapse House assists individuals with relearning old or learning new skills after experiencing a brain injury, stroke, or other neurological conditions.
