Today, we pause to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001.
Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor the lives lost, the families who were forever changed, and the countless first responders who answered the call that morning.
We especially remember the FDNY, Port Authority Police Department, and the NYPD who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting and helping others.
Their courage, selflessness, and commitment to service remind all of us why we answer the call.
We also honor the firefighters, police officers, EMS providers, military personnel, and other first responders who have continued to serve in the years since 9/11—and those who have suffered lasting health consequences from their service.
As volunteer firefighters, we understand the responsibility that comes with wearing the uniform. We stand with our fellow first responders across the country in remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
September 11, 2001 — Never Forget.
