Fulton County Tourism and Visitor's Bureau Our main office is located at 2 N. Main Street in Gloversville, NY and we are open Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00 pm.

We also manage the Fulton County Visitors Center, located at the corner of State Routes 29 and 30 in Vail Mills. Mid-May to Columbus Day, the Visitors Center is open 7 days a week from 10:00am - 4:00pm. Winter Hours are Saturday and Sunday, 10:00am - 4:00pm.

Please plan to join us this Thursday, November 5, 4-7 p.m. for the Meet the Artists Opening Reception for our 2026 Reflection Art Show, which features over 130 pieces by more than 50 artists from across the nation and beyond!

This free event is a fantastic opportunity to browse our new exhibition, meet some of the featured artists and connect with our local arts community. Light refreshments will be served and awards will be presented at approximately 5:30 p.m. All are welcome!

Micropolis Cooperative Art Gallery will hold a “Meet the Artists Reception” on Friday, November 6 from 4 to 6pm. The work of fiber artists Darius Homayounpour and Steven Ziglar will be featured.

Darius Homayounpour earned his MFA in textiles at the University of Hawaii in 2000. He has training in textile conservation and worked as Collection Manager in the Textile Department of the Honolulu Museum of Art. He taught courses in Asian Costume History and Industrial Textile Production at the University of Hawaii and has exhibited and taught art classes for over 25 years. Raised in Hawaii, Homayounpour has long interpreted historic textile forms and structures using various methods and materials, including handmade paper, hand-woven cloth, and shibori. Shibori is a Japanese manual resist-dyeing technique that creates patterns on fabric by binding, folding, stitching, or clamping it so the dye doesn’t soak evenly. It’s commonly made using indigo on textiles like cotton or silk.

Steven Ziglar currently lives in Cooperstown, NY, but draws his artistic inspiration from years working in marketing in New York City, the Berkshires and the Boston area. His artwork has been featured in one-person and group exhibitions in these areas. Ziglar has always been fascinated with texture and color. It comes as no surprise that he gravitated to weaving as an artistic expression over 40 years ago. His towels, scarves, and rugs have always been noted for their colorful combinations and texture. Hand-dyed yarns and cloth strips are often part of his work, as are a fine selection of commercially produced yarns and cloth strips. Ziglar currently works exclusively on a 16-shaft Louet dobby loom.

In addition to the artwork of Homayounpour and Ziglar, the gallery is filled with paintings, drawings, pastels, photographs, fiber art, mixed media, glass, digital art, jewelry, pottery, woodland assemblages, baskets, turned items of exotic wood and fine art cards by the members of Micropolis Cooperative, Inc. The reception is free and open to the public. The show runs through December.

Micropolis, located inside Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market at 30 N. Main St., Gloversville, is open Monday-Friday / 9am-6pm and Saturdays from 9am until 2pm.

Bring the kiddos up for an afternoon of Halloween fun! We’ll be hosting our very first Trunk or Treat from 2 PM to 4 PM! We’re excited to start this new tradition and can’t wait to see all those little ghosts, goblins, and superheroes!
