Telstar dianthus - smaller growing bedding plant type - info from wholesale grower Stelz Nursery, Inc.. A winner in the 1990s something LOUISIANA SELECT program.

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1K57MFMnqi/

Telstar dianthus is an award-winning F1 hybrid series valued for its extreme weather tolerance, disease resistance, and prolific, long-lasting blooms. The series has a heavy-flowering nature and a very robust hardiness. It has earned numerous awards including the All-America Selections (AAS) award and the Fleuroselect Gold Medal.

The flowers are about 1.3" wide, single, and feature distinctly fringed edges. They sit atop fine, needle-like blue-green leaves.
Telstar has a broad spectrum of solid and bicolor shades including Carmine Rose, Crimson, Pink, Picotee, Purple, White and Mix.

Telstar maintains a tidy, well-branched, and compact mounding habit, typically reaching 8-10" tall and wide. It withstands environmental stresses that cause other types of dianthus to fail.
It is highly resistant to many diseases common in humid conditions.
Plant in full sun to very light afternoon shade in well-draining soil.
Telstar is an extremely low maintenance overall holding it's blooms for a long time and taking very little effort.
