Wanting a job and believing you can keep one are two different things.

KRCC’s Supported Employment program helps people with serious mental illness find and keep competitive jobs in the community. Employment specialists work around barriers. They look for the right fit based on your interests and schedule, and they stay involved after you start so you have support while you learn the routine. No one is excluded because of past struggles.

Ask about it at your county outpatient clinic or through your case manager.

If the stress of looking or waiting is wearing on you, call or text 988. You can also reach KRCC at 1-800-262-7491.

Some days the list of things that need doing feels longer than the energy you have left.

KRCC Community Support Associates work with adults who need a little extra help living more independently. That can mean practicing daily skills, connecting to medical care or housing, learning how to manage money or medications, or just having someone walk beside you while you figure out the next step.

To get started, contact the outpatient clinic in your county. They can talk with you about whether Community Support is a fit.

If today already feels heavy, call or text 988. KRCC’s regional line is 1-800-262-7491. You are not alone.
