🥬 From the lab to the lunchroom, Holloman Middle School students are taking hands-on STEM learning to the next level! Our campus has been buzzing with real-world problem-solving this week across our STEM and Computer Science classes.

🌱 STEM Class Grows Green: Our green-thumbed students successfully harvested several buckets of fresh lettuce right from our campus gardens! Their hard work was even served directly to their peers in the school cafeteria. Talk about eating local! 🥗

💻 Computer Science Tracks the Heat: Students coded microbits into digital thermometers and took them outdoors to collect real-world temperature data. After building a detailed data table, they discovered the school track was 20 degrees hotter than the shaded area under the outside stairs! 🌡️🏃‍♂️

We are so proud of these students for using technology and agriculture to analyze and improve the world around them. Way to go, Falcons! 🦅✨

🦅 Our Holloman Middle School Student Council leaders are bringing back big ideas! This past weekend, our amazing STUCO representatives traveled to Las Cruces to attend the District Conference. They spent the weekend collaborating with student leaders from across the region, building crucial leadership skills, and brainstorming fresh ways to boost school spirit and community service right here at HMS. ✨

We are incredibly proud of these young leaders for representing our school with such excellence, passion, and Falcon Pride. We can't wait to see the positive impact of their new ideas on our campus! 💙

Calling all federally connected families!!

The 2026 Federal Impact Aid Survey is available for completion. The Impact Aid Survey is a required form to be completed separately for each student by parents/guardians using the PowerSchool Portal and will help the district and community receive their fair share of federal funds.

Every single student counts. Whether your family is active-duty military, a civilian employee at Holloman AFB, a worker for the U.S. Postal Service, U.S. Forest Service, White Sands National Park, Mescalero Hospital, Border Patrol, or living in federal housing, your response directly brings funding into APS schools!

How to access the form? Just log in to your Power School Parent Portal and find the Impact Aid survey under Forms. It’s super quick!
