Keeping Halloween Safe, Together!

Halloween is almost here, and we're looking forward to seeing our neighborhoods filled with costumes, candy, and plenty of Halloween excitement!

While our little ghosts, goblins, and even unicorns are focused on filling their candy bags, our officers will be focused on making sure everyone gets home safely.

As part of our GOAL ZERO traffic safety campaign, officers will be paying extra attention to areas throughout Middle Township where large numbers of children and families are expected to be trick-or-treating.

Our presence isn't just about traffic enforcement. It's about being proactive, preventing tragedies before they happen, and making sure our community can enjoy the holiday safely.

From all of us at the Middle Township Police Department, we wish you a safe, fun, and Happy Halloween!

A Safe Halloween Starts With All of Us!

Halloween is almost here, and the Middle Township Police Department is looking forward to seeing our community come together for a night of costumes, candy, and fun!

As part of our commitment to keeping our neighborhoods safe, our officers will be participating in a Goal Zero traffic safety campaign, focusing on areas throughout Middle Township that experience increased pedestrian activity during trick-or-treating.

Our goal is simple: Zero preventable traffic deaths and serious injuries.

We're proud to serve a community that looks out for one another. Let's make this Halloween one to remember for all the right reasons!

👻SLOW DOWN FOR LITTLE MONSTERS!🎃

This Halloween, our streets will be filled with ghosts, goblins, superheroes, and princesses on a mission to collect as much candy as possible!

While they're focused on their next stop, we're asking drivers to focus on something even more important: getting everyone home safely.

🚘Slow Down: Reduce your speed in residential neighborhoods, especially where children are trick-or-treating.

🛑Expect the Unexpected: Excited children may suddenly step into the roadway or cross between parked vehicles.

📱Put the Phone Away: Keep your eyes on the road and eliminate distractions.

⚠️Be Extra Cautious: Use extra care at intersections, crosswalks, driveways, and areas with limited visibility.

Drive Sober: If your Halloween plans include alcohol, arrange for a sober ride home.

Our challenge to drivers: If you're traveling anywhere on Halloween, slow down, stay alert, and give yourself extra time to reach your destination.

No candy, costume, or Halloween party is worth risking someone's life.

Our officers will be out working to keep our roads safe, but we need every driver to do their part.

Calling All Halloween Candy Headquarters!

If you're planning to hand out candy this Halloween, you play an important role in keeping our neighborhoods safe and welcoming for all the little ghosts and goblins!

The Middle Township Police Department is asking residents to help us make Halloween a fun and safe experience for everyone.

💡Light It Up: Keep your porch and walkway well-lit so trick-or-treaters can safely make their way to your door.

🍂Clear the Path: Remove decorations, extension cords, leaves, or other tripping hazards from walkways and steps.

🐶Keep Pets Secure: Even the friendliest pets can become overwhelmed by costumes, loud noises, and frequent visitors.

🎃Keep Sidewalks Clear: Avoid blocking sidewalks and walkways with parked vehicles or decorations.

Make Everyone Feel Welcome: Be patient with children of all ages and abilities. Some children may be shy, nonverbal, or need a little extra time.

Let's work together to make Middle Township a safe and welcoming place for everyone this Halloween!
