First-round hiring for the Interfaith Construction Apprentice Program has officially been completed!

Interfaith Housing and Community Services and Hutchinson Community College have partnered to create a new registered apprenticeship opportunity for students enrolled in the USD 308 HC&TEA Building Trades course.

Our new apprentices are now employed by Interfaith, earning a competitive wage while gaining valuable hands-on experience in new in-fill construction and residential renovation projects.

This partnership creates a direct pathway from classroom learning to skilled workforce development while helping address local housing needs in our community.

Special thanks to our educational partners, as well as the Hutchinson Community Foundation, for investing in workforce development and innovative housing solutions for Hutchinson.

Calling all handyman! If you would like to make a couple dollars and help out one of your neighbors, give me a call! Miss Petty purchased this home about 10 years ago and needs to deal with some of the shake cedar siding. As with all siding on our seasoned homes around town, some of this siding needs to be replaced. If this is something that you have the skills, time and desire to help Miss Petty with leave me a message and I'll connect you with the homeowner.

Calling all volunteers! Mrs. Woodson is in need of some help! A couple years ago she (by herself... in her 70's - shĥ) painted her house through the Brush Up Hutch program. Before the painting she removed some ivy next to the chimney, now the little ivy "roots" are still stuck to the house. She needs someone to come and knock those off with a stiff brush and apply some of the paint to these spots... can you help!? Reach out to me and leave me a message if it's something you would like to help with!

Our 35th Celebration Luncheon is almost here, and we can’t wait to gather with our community to celebrate 35 years of impact.

🙌Join us on March 25 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Interfaith Housing Warehouse in Hutchinson for lunch and a fun Dirty Soda Stand. Together, we’ll honor the lives changed, the partnerships built, and the mission that continues to move us forward.

There’s still time to be part of this special milestone. Let’s celebrate 35 years of building stronger communities, one family at a time.

Wheelchair Ramp Donation Request

Do you have, or know someone who has, a metal wheelchair ramp that is no longer being used?

Our organization regularly receives calls from rehabilitation facilities and homeowners who urgently need wheelchair ramps so individuals can safely return home after medical treatment. Metal modular ramps are especially helpful because they can be installed quickly and adjusted for different homes.

Because the need often arises on short notice, we are always trying to build an inventory of reusable ramps that can be installed quickly for families in need.

If you have a ramp that is no longer needed—or know of one that might be available—we would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to reuse it to help someone regain access to their home.
