Everybody loves ABL class! Fun fact: ABL stands for “action based learning!” Action-based learning (ABL) is an educational approach that integrates physical movement, play, and kinesthetic activity into learning. Students in grades pre-k through 3rd participate in ABL every week, while 4th and 5th grade students participate in PE class weekly. ABL and PE classes help students improve motor skills, health, self-regulation, focus, and many more important skills for learning.

A HUGE thank-you to our school FACE Liaison, Mrs. Hudson, for nominating William McKinley School 39 for Giordano's Pizza Making the Grade Giveaway, and to our amazing Eagle families for voting for us! Because of your support, we earned 3rd place and won a staff pizza party! 🍕🥳

We enjoyed our delicious pizza lunch today between Parent-Teacher Conferences, and we couldn’t be more grateful for our wonderful school community. Thank you for always showing up for our staff and helping make our school such a special place! 🦅💙

In science, our 4th graders put their engineering skills to the test! Students used the engineering design process to plan, build, test, and improve their pumpkin towers, all with one goal in mind: build the tallest tower possible! 🎃

From creative ideas to redesigns and problem-solving, our young engineers learned that sometimes the best solutions come from trying again! 🧡🍂

Our Eagle Scholars were excited to find out who their Book Buddies are for the school year! 🦅📚

Book Buddies pair students across grade levels to share stories, build friendships, and create meaningful connections throughout the William McKinley School 39 community.

We can’t wait to watch these friendships grow, one book at a time! 💙💛
