Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) is committed to helping Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries avoid, detect, prevent, and report health care fraud.
SMP not only protects older persons, they also help preserve the integrity of the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Federal agencies like Medicare, Social Security Administration, and the Federal Trade Commission won't call you; they will contact you by mail if they need to talk to you.
Any caller stating they are calling you on behalf of them, or are them, is likely a scam. If they ask you to verify information, provide your Medicare number, or state you are "entitled to something," hang up.

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEADD) is June 15th! WEADD was launched by the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse and the World Health Organization at the United Nations. The purpose of WEAAD is to provide an opportunity for communities around the world to promote a better understanding of abuse and neglect of older persons by raising awareness of the cultural, social, economic and demographic processes affecting elder abuse and neglect.
