A fresh glass of juice, anyone? 🍹

At JAXPORT’s Talleyrand Terminal, our team worked with terminal operator Enstructure LLC and trucking provider Landstar System to move more than 9,000 tons of pear and apple juice.

The juice arrived in bins from Argentina aboard the refrigerated cargo vessel Ice Glacier before being transported to a nearby refrigerated warehouse.

Jacksonville offers more than 143 million cubic feet of refrigerated warehouse space, helping keep store shelves stocked and glasses full.

A significant investment in JAXPORT’s capabilities and the jobs we support 🚢

JAXPORT has been awarded a $40 million grant through the U.S. Maritime Administration’s Port Infrastructure Development Program to modernize Berth 32 at Blount Island. The project will rebuild approximately 900 feet of berth, increase its load-bearing capacity and upgrade infrastructure supporting cargo operations.

The award is part of $498 million announced for 35 port projects across 19 states.

“The strength of our nation’s economy is directly tied to the state of our ports,” said U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy.

“We thank Secretary Sean Duffy, Maritime Administration - MARAD Administrator Carmel and members of our North Florida Congressional Delegation for this investment in America’s supply chain and the jobs that depend on trade through Florida’s largest container port,” said JAXPORT CEO Eric Green. “Modernizing Berth 32 at Blount Island builds on recent public and private investments to expand our port’s capabilities, strengthen cargo connections serving the Southeast U.S. and Puerto Rico, and enhance our role as a U.S. Strategic Seaport.”

Florida Trend magazine named JAXPORT CEO Eric Green to its Florida 500 list of the state’s most influential business leaders.

The publication recognized Green for his leadership in logistics and transportation and his focus on expanding JAXPORT’s statewide economic impact.

“JAXPORT is a community asset,” Green told the publication. “Through continued growth and development of our business and partnerships, we are focused on maximizing the public resources entrusted to us to support job creation and economic opportunity for future generations of Floridians.”

Cargo activity through Jacksonville’s port supports 258,800 jobs and generates $44 billion in annual economic impact statewide.
