🕷️🕸️🦇 Enjoyed being part of TRI-CAP Head Start’s Trunk or Treat last night! We gave out recycling activity books, pencils made of recycled paper and peanut butter crackers…with a services brochure thrown in too. 😊

Excellent medication collection day with LOTS of volunteers and agency staff coming together to make it work!!

We collected 347 pounds of medications in four hours from 650 residents. Awesome job organizers and volunteers!

Thanks to Dubois County CARES, Dubois County Advocacy for Recovery and Prevention Council, Indiana State Police Jasper Post, Ferdinand Fire Dept, Ferdinand Police Department, Drug Enforcement Administration - DEA, Dubois County Solid Waste Management District for planning, organizing, being on site etc!

And a huge thanks to our 7 CARES volunteers!

Several cases of illegal and dangerous pesticide Sniper DDVP have been confiscated in Indianapolis. Please be aware this is VERY DANGEROUS to use. The Indiana State Chemist office is working on a media release regarding the dangers and options for safe disposal.

Sure would be nice if this antique desk and even nicer antique dresser with mirror found homes before sitting out in the humidity (and rain?) damages them. Some other goodies too.

Did you know any Dubois County resident can shop The Last Chance Corral for free? Our site attendant just checks what you want to take and records the weight. Everything in the Corral are items folks paid to dispose of and we decided they could have a chance at a second life! We divert two tons of items from disposal each year!

Located at our Process Center at 1103 S 350 W Jasper. Public Hours 8-1 Monday thru Friday and one Saturday a month. Our next Saturday hours are 8am 12 noon October 3. www.duboiscountyrecycles.org

Another Ag Recycling Day Success!

Thank you to all the farmers and land managers who take time to recycle their pesticide jugs each year! This year we had 3422 jugs … which is about 2.5 TONS of plastic in one morning from 28 participants! 🙌

A huge thank you to Jasper Salvage Inc for providing a dumpster and to the Dubois County Highway Department for providing a dump truck for the day!
