Our Little Mermaid Jr. cast is working on their craft — voice projection, lines, delivery, character work… all the good stuff. At this rate, we’re fully expecting a Tony invitation any day now. 😄

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Grace Turano — A Creative Heart Behind the Seams
Grace Turano has been creative for as long as she can remember. Sewing and gardening, cherished passions she once shared with her grandmother, have shaped her artistic spirit since childhood. Her skills deepened during her time managing a bridal store in Jupiter, Florida, where she learned advanced sewing techniques and refined her approach to customer care.
Her faith has always guided her. Active in the Catholic Church, Grace learned to craft beautiful rosary beads, a practice she still treasures.
Her journey with DSOSN began when Jonathan Jimenez (DSOSN Director of the Performing Arts Program) invited her to help alter the dresses worn by members in their performance at the Festival of Trees and Lights last year. What started as a simple volunteer moment became a life‑changing experience. Today, she works alongside a dedicated team of women forming the Costume Committee, bringing creativity, care, and heart to every production.
Grace says she feels “so blessed to be invited into this amazing family,” and her work reflects that gratitude in every stitch.
