💚 During Mental Health Awareness Month, we recognize the work happening at the intersection of justice and compassion. ⚖️

Chief Deputy District Attorney Jay P. Raman made the transition to our Special Assignments Unit several years ago, where he now prosecutes cases in our specialty courts. Those include Co-Occurring Disorders Court, Veterans Court, Mental Health Court, and Competency Court.

These courts focus on accountability while addressing the underlying challenges individuals face. Through this work, Jay helps ensure our system responds thoughtfully to those navigating mental health and substance use issues, while still prioritizing public safety
