On the the passing of Dr. William A. “Bill” Burke:

My office recovered full restitution for fire survivors in a civil enforcement action against Blueground US, Inc., the home rental giant, who allegedly engaged in price gouging after the January 2025 wildfires. As a result, Blueground is required to pay $1.2 million in penalties plus restitution to price gouged tenants. More info: https://shorturl.at/lu1dw

I joined the Miguel Contreras Foundation for their annual Cinco De Mayo Awards, honoring leaders in the local labor movement. Celebrating Jewish American Heritage Month and honoring the Jewish Angelenos who contribute so much to the mosaic of our diverse city.

My team and I joined Bringing Out Xcellence (B.O.X.) for their 4th annual Community Day in South Central, a grocery distribution event. By providing food and resources, B.O.X. is empowering Angelenos with stability, dignity and hope.

For 100 years, the Dalmatian American Club of San Pedro has been a proud beacon of heritage, community and charity, deeply honoring its Dalmatian roots while serving as the heartbeat for generations of families throughout the Harbor Area. Congratulations on this milestone!
