Built in 1902, “El Paseo” is a historic walkway that was created to provide residents access to the cemetery. After the construction of the Santa Monica Freeway, most of the walkway was destroyed. This weekend, Southwest cadets rolled up their sleeves to help restore what remains of this hidden landmark. ✨

Senior Lead Officer Choub organized a “Coffee with a Cop” event at Benny Potter Park, creating a welcoming space for community members to connect with local police. ☕👮♂️
Residents were invited to ask questions, share concerns, and engage in open conversation in a relaxed setting.
A special thank-you to Councilmember Heather Hutt and for attending and actively connecting with residents while encouraging meaningful discussion about the issues affecting the community.
The event was a great success—thank you to everyone who came out and participated.
