Bail out training:
Training in a real structure gives us the opportunity to practice these skills in a much more realistic environment than we can create at the station. Members worked on deploying bailout systems, exiting upper floor windows, rope management, and safely operating while on a life safety rope.

These are skills we hope we never have to use in an emergency, but when conditions rapidly change, being comfortable with the equipment and techniques can make all the difference.

MVFD was on hand throughout the week for Mayfield High Schools homecoming events. We started off with the parade and bonfire on Wednesday and finished off this evening with a Wildcats victory! It was a busy evening with both squads being required at the game for multiple EMS calls. Mayfield Heights FD assisted us with a triple hit during the game.
