The Town of Linden is partnering with the Perry County High School each month to honor a "Student Spotlight". This student will be voted based on grades, behavior, attendance, and overall interaction with their peers.

For the month of May: Laila Edney

Laila is a dedicated and hardworking student at PCHS who is actively involved in both academics and extracurricular activities. She is a valued member of the PCHS Basketball Cheer squad, serves as Sergeant at Arms for the sophomore class, and participates in both the National BETA Club and Health Occupations Students of America. Academically, Laila is a straight-A student who proudly ranks in the top five of her class.

Outside of school, Laila enjoys spending time with her family, vacationing at the beach, reading, and listening to music. She is also committed to serving others through her volunteer work in the babies’ and toddlers’ classes at New Life Christian Church, where she has been a member since 2020.

After graduation, Laila plans to attend Austin Peay State University to pursue a degree in nursing. Her goal is to earn a Master of Science in Nursing and return to Perry County to care for and serve her community.

Madie Harris serves as Vice President of HOSA and is an active member of both the BETA Club and Art Club. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and baking.

After graduation, she plans to attend the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she will pursue her goal of becoming a biomedical engineer.

Andalyn Weatherly is a proud member of the Lady Vikings basketball team. She also serves as president of the Viking Media Club, where she and her team work to highlight the achievements of students and student-athletes at PCHS. Although the club is still growing, she is grateful for the strong support it has received.

Outside of school, Andalyn enjoys spending time with her mischievous orange cat, Ollivander, especially playing with him and dressing him up. She is currently working at Linden Middle School through the South Central Human Resource Agency.

After graduation, Andalyn plans to attend UT Martin to pursue a degree in business. While in college, she hopes to work at Sonic and prepare for her future goal of owning a Sonic restaurant with her family.

WE WILL GO LIVE WITH E-BILLING JUNE 1ST!!!!!

We ran a test on our e-billing this month. Have a couple things we are working on correcting. Overall, I am pleased with the billing system. If you would like to switch to e-billing, stop by City Hall in Linden.
