A New Gathering Spot at Jockey’s Ridge!

This year’s Shuck for the Ridge Oyster Roast was extra special as we celebrated the very first use of the park’s new fire pit!

What a wonderful addition to an already beautiful area of Jockey’s Ridge State Park! Tucked among the trees, this peaceful setting offers picnic shelters, plenty of seating, a cozy fire pit, and beautiful natural scenery. It’s the perfect place to gather with friends and family, enjoy a picnic, or simply relax and take in the beauty of the park.

We couldn’t think of a better way to break in the new fire pit than bringing everyone together for Shuck for the Ridge last week!

Next time you visit Jockey’s Ridge, be sure to explore this special area of the park!🌿

A huge thank you to all who came out for our first annual Shuck For The Ridge event yesterday at Jockey’s Ridge State Park!
It was a perfect afternoon celebrating all of our favorite things including oysters, BBQ, live music and the ridge!!
A huge thank you to Cousins’ Oysters for supplying the fantastic all-you-can-eat oysters experience, Sooey’s BBQ, Tortuga’s Lie, Birddog for the wonderful live music and our friend and community supporter Carolina Designs as well as the many local businesses who supported our efforts for the silent auction. Also, a big shout out to the Jockey’s Ridge rangers and staff, great volunteers and board members for all the support in making this a fantastic day!
