GNRC staff recently attended the 3rd Annual Building Community Brunch hosted by Rebuilding Together Nashville.

The event brought together homeowners, partners, and community leaders to celebrate another year of impact and discuss the future of affordable housing in our region.

One of the most effective ways to address housing affordability is by preserving the homes we already have. For the cost of building a single new affordable housing unit, approximately 12 existing homes can be repaired and preserved.

We were honored to join others who are committed to strengthening communities and ensuring every person has access to a safe and healthy home. Thank you to Rebuilding Together Nashville for bringing people together around this important mission!

📅June 1-5 is Medicare Fraud Prevention Week.

Here’s how Americans can help protect themselves:

✅Ignore, delete, and block. Don’t respond to unsolicited texts and emails offering free medical services or supplies.
✅Guard your card. Only share your beneficiary number with trusted health care providers. Anyone who offers you prepaid debit cards or other perks in exchange for your number is trying to scam you.
✅Go over statements carefully. Make sure nobody’s billing Medicare for services you didn’t receive.
✅Report suspected fraud. Call 1-800-MEDICARE to report fraud or reach out to your local Senior Medicare Patrol by calling 1-877-808-2468.

📌Medicare Fraud Prevention Tips 📌
Guard your Medicare card. Never give your Medicare number to anyone over the phone. Don’t text it. Don’t use it to sign up for “free” offers. Saying no is the best defense against scammers. If you have a family member or take care of someone over 65, talk to them about never sharing their Medicare number to unsolicited requests. This is likely a scam and could lead to medical identity theft.
