Aging with HIV is a story of strength — but it’s also a story that demands action.

The report highlights what long‑term survivors and lifetime survivors have been telling us for years:

- They are living longer, but often with more complex health needs
- Stigma, isolation, and ageism continue to shape their daily lives
- Many face financial insecurity, limited support systems, and barriers to care
- Mental health, trauma, and long‑term treatment effects remain urgent concerns

As the number of older adults living with HIV continues to grow, our systems must evolve with them. This means investing in culturally competent care, expanding support services, and ensuring long‑term survivors are not left behind.

Their resilience is undeniable — but resilience should not be a requirement for survival.

ā—URGENT ACTION ALERT: Protect Safe Housingā—

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has announced a proposal to weaken the Equal Access Rule (EAR).

The EAR ensures many U.S. HUD-funded services are not denied based on sexual orientation, gender identity, or marital status. Specifically, it provides important protections for transgender and non-binary individuals.

We can challenge the repeal effort, but we NEED the support of as many people and organizations as possible!
