CFS’ Spots of Sunshine play was a resounding success, celebrating independence, inclusion, community, choice, self-expression, and the power of having every voice heard.
Created through the collaboration of CFS staff, advocates, DSPs, and the Co/Lab Theater Group, the performance highlighted everyday moments that matter like making choices, participating in community life, building friendships, and living with dignity and respect.
After weeks of rehearsals filled with music, laughter, teamwork, and determination, our talented cast delivered a brilliant performance showcasing the confidence, talents, and voices of our extraordinary participants with .
More than a play, Spots of Sunshine was a celebration of advocacy, empowerment, and community!
Thank you to everyone who joined us, and a special thank you to CO/LAB Theater Group! We are grateful for programmatic support provided by TD Charitable Foundation to help make this great experience and performance possible!

Transitions can feel very overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate them alone!
The Transition Series Education produced by our team is designed to support advocates, DSPs, staff, families, and community members through meaningful life transitions and life-changing experiences that people may not always receive guidance or support about – despite how important these transitions are.
Whether it’s independent living, menopause, or any other major life change, viewers will gain practical tools, encouragement, and understanding through education, real-world experience, and insight from our team and our extraordinary Self-Advocacy Ambassador Tonya Hopson.
