Join us for the opening of TAAC’s 2026 season at House 17 on Governors Island, featuring artist studios, exhibitions, workshops, performances, screenings, and community gatherings throughout the season.
“Island Reverence” invites artists and audiences to reflect on the relationships between humanity, nature, ecology, history, and collective imagination. Situated within the unique environment of Governors Island, the program approaches the island not only as a physical site, but also as a living cultural and ecological landscape shaped by layered histories, environmental transformation, and community memory.
Reverence is a feeling of profound respect —
for the land, ecology, history, and the layered meanings of nature, memory, and community.

“Reverence(禮讚)”
意味著對土地、生態與歷史的深層尊重,
以及對自然、記憶與社群多重意義的感知與連結。
