Team Keren Or at the Jerusalem Marathon πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’™

Even though we didn’t have our full team this year, our amazing national service volunteers made sure our students could still be part of it. They took the initiative to bring them out to experience the energy and excitement of the marathon together with the rest of Jerusalem.

Yesterday we celebrated a joyful and meaningful Bat Mitzvah for Yochi at our school, thoughtfully adapted especially for her and her classmates. The celebration was colorful and fun, planned with care for the needs, abilities, and happiness of everyone involved.

It is always special to see our students take part in their personal milestones, sharing in the experience and enjoying it together. Moments like these remind us how important it is to pause, recognize, and celebrate each student in a way that truly fits them.

Special thanks to Yochi’s teacher, Idit, and the classroom staff who planned this special celebration with the help of Michal; to school principal Tova for helping execute the event in the best possible way; to Shira, our school art teacher, for creating an adapted and meaningful art project; and to the National Service volunteers who brought so much joy to the celebration. Thank you as well to Yochi’s family for coming to celebrate with us.

Days like this highlight the value of thoughtful planning, adaptation, and teamwork. We are proud and grateful to be part of our students’ journeys and their special moments.

Happy Birthday, Yochi! ❀️

Today, we had the honor of hosting the Thai Ambassador to Israel, Mr. Boonyarit Vichienpuntu, at the Keren Or School for a moving visit, accompanied by a distinguished delegation of Embassy staff members.

During the visit, the guests toured the school, were impressed by the hydrotherapy pool, the Snoezelen room, the sports room, and the newly renovated floor, and expressed great excitement from meeting our students.

In honor of the birthday of His Majesty, the King of Thailand, the Thai Embassy presented a special and meaningful donation: a high-quality water mattress for the Snoezelen room, which will be used by Keren Or’s students and support their learning and therapy goals.

We thank Ambassador Mr. Boonyarit Vichienphand and his delegation for their warm visit, their encouraging words, and their generous contribution. We send heartfelt birthday wishes to His Majesty, the King of Thailand: may he be blessed with health, longevity, and peace. We deeply value the warm and meaningful connection between the Keren Or community and the people of Thailand.

The Keren Or family mourns the passing of our longtime supporter and dear friend, S. Daniel Abraham.
Mr. Abraham was instrumental in establishing the Steinberg-Abraham Hydrotherapy Center at Keren Or, and his memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
