We're continuing to closely monitor Hurricane Isaias. While it isn’t expected to directly impact our area, heavy rain and strong winds this weekend have the potential to cause power outages.

We’re making sure our crews have everything they need to respond if outages occur. We encourage our members to take time now to prepare at home, too.

💡 Downed power line safety: nec.coop/power-line-safety

If your power goes out, please report it through:

Please do not report outages through Facebook.

We’ll continue to monitor the storm and be ready to respond as needed. Take care and stay safe!

Newberry Electric Cooperative was proud to co-host the 2026 Member Service Retreat with Broad River Electric Cooperative in Mount Pleasant earlier this month! ⚡

This year’s retreat set a new attendance record, bringing together 153 attendees from 16 South Carolina electric cooperatives.

From interactive activities to valuable conversations, the retreat gave attendees the chance to share experiences, learn from one another and sharpen skills that are important in member service.

We are especially proud of our NEC Member Services team members Betsy Smith, Elisa Mora, Sarah Griffin and Alanna Borden, along with CFO & Interim CEO Arthur Guy, for representing Newberry Electric Cooperative and helping make the retreat a success! 💡🤝
