Our fearless leader, Adrian Beverage, celebrated his 50th birthday today! Adrian was joined at work today with his youngest son, Grant, and they enjoyed carrot cake with our staff in the afternoon! Happy birthday, Adrian!

The second session of the 2026 OBA Intermediate Banking School finished last week with class photos … some more serious than others! The session was a continuation of the school that began in February.

FDIC Chairman Travis Hill (right) participates in a “fireside chat” with OBA Chair Steve Bagwell on Wednesday morning. The chat was part of the day’s opening session of the OBA Convention, held at the OKANA Resort in Oklahoma City. Bagwell and Hill discussed several topics of interest to a roomful of community bankers.

Oklahoma Attorney General (and candidate for governor) Gentner Drummond opens the gubernatorial forum during the OBA Convention as fellow candidate Charles McCall III and OBA President and CEO Adrian Beverage, who serves as moderator, are seated on Monday at the OKANA Resort. The forum was part of the opening general session of the 2026 OBA Convention.

Protecting small businesses is critical to Oklahoma’s economy. In a recent interview, OBA President and CEO Adrian Beverage joined Congressman Frank Lucas to discuss the Main Street Depositor Protection Act and what expanded FDIC coverage could mean for Oklahoma banks and businesses.

The OBA held a celebratory dinner tonight in honor of the retirement of our longtime CFO, Lea Ann Jackson. Tears were shed, laughs were had and stories were shared! Enjoy your time, Lea Ann, it’s well deserved!

Last night’s Bankers’ Night Out in Krebs was a success! It was another great opportunity to connect with leaders and peers from across Oklahoma, giving them a chance to hear from statewide candidates. We appreciate everyone who attended!

We had a great time in Ardmore last night at our Bankers’ Night Out! The evening featured important industry updates and even better conversation, as well as the opportunity to hear from statewide candidates. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

The OBA welcomed nearly a dozen statewide candidates to its Bankers’ Night Out event on Wednesday in Oklahoma City. The candidates each spent four to five minutes outlining their ideas for Oklahoma.

The OBA was proud to host Shred Fest in partnership with AARP Oklahoma and the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office, with special thanks to Absolute Data Shredding for providing secure on-site shredding services. AARP Oklahoma will also host additional shredding events on April 18 in Shawnee and Enid, April 22 in Edmond and May 2 in Tulsa. Thank you to everyone who came by this morning to safely dispose of their documents!
