Next Generation 911 (NG911) is often discussed in terms of technology, but implementation requires much more.

For state 911 programs, NG911 involves:
➡ Long-term strategic planning
➡ Sustainable funding models
➡ Coordination with vendors and partners
➡ Governance and policy development
➡ Ongoing support for local PSAPs

Technology is only one piece of the equation.

Successful implementation depends on strong leadership, coordination, and sustained investment.

We are saddened by the loss of Mr. Kenneth Manning and are keeping his friends, family, and 9-1-1 colleagues in our thoughts and prayers.

It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of one of our own.
Our 911 family mourns the passing of a beloved co-worker, friend, and dedicated public servant, Kenneth Manning. Every day, dispatchers answer the call when others need help most. They are the calm voice in the darkness, the steady hand in moments of crisis, and the unseen heroes behind every emergency response.
Kenneth served this community with compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to helping others. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
During this difficult time, we ask that you keep his family, friends, first responder colleagues, and our 911 team in your thoughts and prayers. We are grateful for the outpouring of support and kindness shown to our staff as we navigate this heartbreaking loss.
Though gone too soon, Kenneth’s service, dedication, and impact on those around him will never be forgotten.
Rest easy, dear friend. We have the watch from here. 💛🖤
