Old Town Water District is pleased to announce it has received a $1,563 dividend check from the Maine Municipal Association because of its good performance and loss prevention efforts. The association manages three self-funded pools for municipal and quasi-public entities in Maine: The Workers Compensation Fund (established in 1978), The Property & Casualty Pool (formed in 1987), and The Unemployment Compensation Fund (formed in 1978). These programs are overseen by governing boards of elected and appointed municipal officials.

This year 81 % of program participants received dividends for their effective risk management practices and favorable loss experience. Specifically, the Workers Compensation Fund distributed nearly $725,000 in dividends, while the Property and Casualty Pool paid out almost $600,000. In total, over $1.3 million was returned directly to Maine Municipal Association members.

Since 1997, the Maine Municipal Association has consistently provided dividends, resulting in over $30 million returned to participating members.

Two options to make online payments:
Make a one-time payment with the account number(s), last name or business name and credit or debit card.

From the main screen, select Water Payments. Under the Water Bill Search, enter the Account Number without any leading 0s (zeros), and enter the last name or business name as it is on the bill, under Account Name. Select Search. Confirm the account information is correct and check the box under Action, located to the right side of the screen. If more than one water account to pay, select Back, enter the next account number and last name or business name. Select Search. Confirm the account information is correct and check the box under Action. Once all accounts have been added to the cart, select View Cart, verify the information is correct, and select Checkout. From here, enter the credit or debit card information under the Payment Details, and enter the Billing Details below that. Under Terms, check the four boxes and select Process Payment.
Create an account login to link the water account(s) to and securely store the payment method. With this option, auto payments can be set up.

To setup a username (email) and password, select Citizen Login, select the Sign-Up link found below the Login section. Enter information under Create Account, check the box, and select Register. The next step is to link the water account(s). In the new window, Add Account, enter the Account Number without leading 0s (zeros), and the last name or business name as it appears on the bill, under Account Name and select search. Select Choose and Confirm. If more than one account to link, repeat these steps by selecting + sign on right side. In the next window under Actions, choose Create Auto Payment. Choose Add a Payment Method, in next window select + sign, enter the card and billing information and select Continue. To manage or setup more than one Auto Payment select the Auto Payments Tab at top of page. Auto payments are taken out either on the due date or a few days before, decided by the customer.

Account balances will appear on the search page if the water bill is unpaid.

For online payment help, or pay by phone, please call Government Windows 207-558-2224 or 1-877-575-7233
