Today the department went to talk to the kids at The Imagination Station and the pre-school at the Methodist Church in Pearisburg. Once again Sparky was a big hit with these 2 groups. We enjoy getting to go out during Fire Prevention Week to educate our community!

Thank you to the head-start in Pearisburg for letting us come to talk about fire safety and let the kids meet Sparky today. It’s safe to say Sparky was definitely a hit with this bunch!

Today we visited the preschool, 1st and 2nd graders at Macy McClaugherty for Fire Prevention Week. All the kids got to see the trucks and look at our equipment as well as see a firefighter get into full turnout gear to show them not to be scared of us when we come to help. We enjoyed spending time with the kids today!

We would like to thank everyone who made it out and made the parade yesterday a success! We had a huge turnout of fire trucks from inside and outside the county. We would also like to congratulate all the departments that won the awards!

Also, a huge thank you to our women’s auxiliary for all their hard work yesterday! We might not say it all the time but y’all mean more to us than you know.

Don’t forget! Today is the big day!

Thank you to SERVPRO of Montgomery & Pulaski Counties for your generosity and coming to see us last night
