📢 Reminder: License renewals are not automatic once you hit submit.

Our team reviews and processes an average of 1,700 license renewals each week in the order they're received. It can take up to 4 weeks for your renewed license to be approved and available to print.

To avoid delays, double-check your renewal submission in the portal to confirm all of your tasks are "Under Review" or "Completed."

💡Tip: Skip the last-minute stress by submitting your renewal up to 60 days before your license expires!

✨ Behind the Scenes at the Arizona Barbering & Cosmetology Board! ✨

Each week, our small but mighty team answers calls, processes licenses, and conducts inspections to protect public health and support Arizona’s beauty professionals.

With over 100,000 licensed pros in the state, we’re proud to support Arizona’s thriving beauty industry! 💅💇‍♂️💈

(⚠️If your renewal seems to be stuck in limbo, please log in to the Licensing Portal to see if you have any incomplete tasks. Failing to answer the renewal questions, upload proof of citizenship and a photo, and pay your fees can result in longer wait times.)

Great reminder! Thanks, California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. The same rule applies here in Arizona. 🌵

📣Disinfection Reminder📣

They may look cool, but licensees cannot carry any tools or supplies in or on a garment or uniform (including pouches and holsters). This includes putting hair clips on your shirt or apron.

All disinfected tools should be stored in a clean, covered place which is labeled “Clean” or “Disinfected.”
