๐๐ In a water emergency, every second counts โ and knowing CPR could help save a life.
Did you know that CPR with rescue breaths is especially important in drowning emergencies? Quick action before first responders arrive can make a HUGE difference. ๐โจ
Ollyโs reminder: being prepared is one of the best ways to keep our communities safe around water! Consider taking a CPR class so youโre ready to jump into action if needed. ๐๐

๐๐ฆ Life jackets arenโt just for emergencies โ theyโre a must-have for every water adventure! Whether youโre boating, paddleboarding, fishing, or playing near open water, wearing a properly fitted U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket can save lives. ๐

On Saturday, May 16, 2026, SG/PRC celebrated a significant milestone in its ongoing commitment to supporting the community. The SG/PRC Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team held a ribbon cutting ceremony officially opening a beautiful second office location in the city of Irwindale, California. This location is set to improve accessibility for families and individuals with developmental disabilities living near the foothill areas.
SG/PRC will continue to operate as one regional center serving its growing population in the San Gabriel/Pomona catchment area which includes nearly 18,000 clients and approximately 600 staff members across both the Pomona and Irwindale offices. ๐โโ๏ธ Learning to swim is more than just fun โ itโs a life-saving skill! ๐ฆ From floating and safe water entry to building confidence in the pool, water competency helps children and adults stay safer around water. ๐
Olly reminds us that swimming lessons are a great way to build skills and confidence, but they should always go hand-in-hand with active supervision and other water safety habits. ๐ฆญ๐
No matter your age, itโs never too early (or too late!) to strengthen your water safety skills and become more confident around the water. โ๏ธ
