Therapeutic outdoor adventures for Active Duty Military and Veterans

The mission at MVO is to provide opportunities for physical and mental health-focused outdoor activities and to provide a private recreational getaway for current Armed Forces personnel and veterans.

Clearfield Jefferson Veteran Su***de Prevention Initiative Chili Cook-off is Saturday October 17th at the Clearfield VFW. Cooks to be there at 1000 NO FEE to enter.

**UPDATED**
In the Bylaws on page 14 underneath the heading:
"Camp, VanGiesen sign in process" it states:

Physicalty Disabled Veterans and Active Duty Military have head
of the line privileges at all times" but it is their responsibility to let it be known.

Saturday at our October meeting, we defined what is meant by Physicalty Disabled Veterans with respect to the sign-in and that is:

If you have a Pennsylvania Game Commission "hunt from your vehicle authorization", then you have head of the line privileges.

If you are authorized to have head of the line privileges, by the above standards, you do have to speak up and let it be known. It is not automatically assumed.

Everything is out and the start of day 2 for the Marionville October Fest

For all of the members that live out of town and away from MVO, the property has changed drastically!

You cannot come the day before hunting season and expect hunting life to be the same. We presently have about half of the property that we had before and the half that we have now isn't the easiest to traverse. Our sign in area at the conex isn't in the same place it has moved up the hill just below the monument. There are contractors that work throughout the week and we are in negotiation with them about hunting. Be prepared and do your homework, and if you come the day before you may not be able to hunt.

The next meeting will be on Saturday, October 3rd at the property. The meeting will start at 1000 hrs. There will be a cook-out after the meeting at the grounds.

Even with all the destruction and construction on the property, Ray and Martha Cunningham went out and made our monument beautiful again.

Now, the next thing we need to do is go out and change the flag. We can do that at the next workday after the meeting on Saturday, Sept 12th. I'll see you then.

Thank you to everyone that participated in our family day/raffle drawing. All the winners have been contacted.
