🧠 A HIGH FIVE HAS NEVER BEEN SO CHALLENGING! 🖐️🕶️Our RHS AP Psychology students put their brains to the ultimate test during our perceptual adaptation lab!Wearing special goggles that shifted their vision 30 degrees or flipped their entire view upside down, students tackled everyday tasks that suddenly required serious focus:
• 🚶 Walking down the hall
• 🖐️ Exchanging high fives
• ✍️ Writing messages & drawing chalk art
• ❌ Playing tic-tac-toe
• 🥛 Stacking plastic cups
• 🎾 Playing catch & walking the line Along the way, students got a hands-on look at how the brain adapts to altered visual information—filled with plenty of laughter, teamwork, and real-world learning! 🧠✨Way to bend your perception, Mounties! 💙

HALLOWEEN SPIRIT TAKES OVER RHS

🌼💀 Celebrating Día de los Mu***os at RHS! 💀🌼

Our talented Mountie artists have been hard at work creating an extraordinary "In Living Color" exhibit in celebration of Día de los Mu***os! 🎨✨

Each hand-crafted piece showcases our students' vibrant creativity while honoring the rich traditions of remembering and celebrating loved ones who have passed. From intricate, glowing sugar skulls and colorful skeleton portraits to shadow boxes, paper flower garlands, and monarch butterflies, this gallery walk brings incredible art and culture to our halls! 🧡🦋💀

✨ Stop by and explore the Día de los Mu***os exhibit, on display through November 3rd right by the Auditorium doors!

MOUNTIE BOWLING 5K RETURNS FOR YEAR TWO!

Lace up your running shoes and join us for the 2nd Annual Mountie Bowling 5K on Saturday, November 14! Whether you're a competitive runner, a casual walker, or simply looking for a way to support our Mountie Bowling program, we'd love to have you participate.

Help us give back to our community! The RHS National Honor Society is hosting a Hygiene Drive to benefit the Samaritan Center.

• Drop-Off Location: Ms. Brown’s Room (2028)
• Beneficiary: The Samaritan Center

• Toothpaste
• Deodorant

🧼 Other Suggested Items:

🏈 **THE TRADITION OF MOUNTIE ATHLETICS!** 🚂💙

Long before the stadium lights and Friday night broadcasts, Mountie Pride was built right here!✨

Lukas Wigington, Event Production & Media Coordinator, put together an incredible video taking us through the rich history and legacy of Rogers Athletics—from Coach Homer "Doc" Ledbetter’s undefeated 1936 season to Coach Gary "Blackie" Bond’s 200+ wins, Coach Frank Tillery’s 1962 State Title, Coach Tom Woodruff’s baseball powerhouse, Coach Marty Barnes’ record-breaking basketball era, and legendary Mountie Alvis "Wh**ey" Smith, whose nearly 50 years of service named Wh**ey Smith Stadium in his honor!

From cross country and soccer state dynasties to cheer, wrestling, volleyball, and baseball state championships—we wear a legacy built on grit, heart, and unbreakable spirit!

🎓 RHS Seniors are getting ready for what’s next! 🎓

Our seniors recently gathered for an important senior meeting with Dr. Tice, who shared upcoming deadlines and critical information as they navigate the final stretch of their high school journey!

They also heard from Rick Harrell with Jostens, who walked seniors through everything they need to know about ordering their caps and gowns. He shared a powerful message with the class: every decision we make has an impact on our future.

To bring that message to life, Rick challenged the seniors to a fun game of Heads or Tails—and the last senior standing walked away with a FREE cap and gown! 🙌

For everyone else, now is the time to get your orders in! Make sure to submit your cap and gown orders as soon as possible so you are ready for graduation day.

🌿 Hands-on science in t
🔬Ms. Olivieri’s AP Environmental Science and Marine Science classes spent an incredible day at the Illinois River Education Center!

Students stepped outside the classroom to explore local water quality, study invasive plant species, and observe the real-world effects of runoff within our watershed. From macroinvertebrate sampling and watershed modeling to wildlife collection, our Mounties gained valuable field experience protecting our local ecosystems!

🎷 SUPERIOR RATINGS & STATE BOUND! 🎺✨

Following an amazing performance at the War Eagle Marching Invitational, the Spirit of Rogers took the field at the Region VI Marching Assessment and earned Straight 1st Division Superior Ratings!

With this outstanding achievement, our Marching Mounties are officially a State Marching Contest Qualifier! Next stop: War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock during the first week of November to compete against the best bands in Arkansas!

Huge congratulations to our talented student musicians, color guard, band directors, and staff for their tireless dedication, passion, and excellence! Let’s keep this momentum going as we head to State! 💙🎶🏆
