Today, the board of ’s affiliate entity, the Rural Counties Environmental Services Joint Powers Authority (ESJPA), convened to address crucial issues impacting rural county solid waste management. The agenda covered regulations and ongoing advocacy efforts, with key highlights including implementing SB 54, an update on Solano County’s Edible Food Recovery Program, and legislative discussions on significant environmental bills. Thank you, to ESJPA’s waste management leaders for their efforts and dedication to California’s !

Today, ESJPA welcomed newly appointed CalRecycle Director Zoe Heller to discuss her vision for the Department in her new role. Many thanks to Zoe for the dialog with our members this morning!

Today, ESJPA recognized Eric Miller, Butte County Public Works, for his many contributions to our efforts during his time with the County. Eric is moving into retirement and the opportunities that will bring! Congratulations and thank you, Eric!
