The Saginaw Township Fire Department recently had the pleasure of gathering for our Retirees Dinner, an evening dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the men and women who have dedicated so much of their lives to serving our department and our community.
Behind every call answered, every emergency faced, and every life touched is a commitment to service that deserves to be recognized and remembered. Our retirees have helped shape the department we are today through their hard work, dedication, experience, and countless hours of service to the residents of Saginaw Township.
While retirement marks the end of one chapter, the friendships, memories, and lasting impact of their service will always remain part of our department’s history.
To all of our retirees, thank you for your years of service, your sacrifices, and your commitment to protecting our community. You will always be part of the Saginaw Township Fire Department family!

THEN & NOW: Saginaw Township Fire Station 3 | 1961–2026
Take a look back at Station 3 in 1961, compared with the renovated station in 2026!

More than six decades of change, progress, and dedication to serving the residents of Saginaw Township!
When Station 3 construction started in October 1961, the fire service looked very different. The apparatus, equipment, and technology of that era reflected the needs of the community at the time.
Fast-forward to 2026, and the fire service has evolved tremendously. Today’s fire apparatus are larger, taller, and more specialized, with advanced firefighting technology and equipment designed to handle a wider range of emergencies.
Station 3 has seen changes throughout its history, including an expansion in 1984, 1995 and renovations in 2017.
While the building and the equipment may change, one thing remains constant: our commitment to protecting the community.
From the firefighters who served in 1961 to those answering the call today, Station 3 represents generations of service, teamwork, and pride in the Saginaw Township Fire Department.
